Welcome to Humanity Over Handcuffs™
Coming Winter 2025
Humanity Over Handcuffs™ is a fully volunteer-run advocacy initiative dedicated to supporting autistic individuals and their families by promoting compassionate justice reform across the country. This movement bridges the gaps between families, advocates, lawmakers, judges, attorneys, and law enforcement to champion meaningful, compassionate reform.
📣 Awareness & Impact
The initiative was first publicly introduced through the awareness campaign Humanity Over Handcuffs: The Silent Crisis, which aired during April–May 2025. That campaign, developed in collaboration with others, helped raise national awareness and reached over 1.5 million podcast downloads.
While the series amplified the message, Humanity Over Handcuffs™ remains a distinct and independently created initiative, founded, owned, and solely managed by its original creator, and is supported by volunteers committed to justice, dignity, and inclusion for autistic individuals and their families.
Humanity Over Handcuffs: The Silent Crisis Series (2025)
April 1 – May 31, 2025 | 61-Day Awareness Campaign
This 61-episode series features conversations with a diverse group of leaders and advocates, including:
- U.S. House Representatives
- Judges and Attorneys
- Law Enforcement Officers
- Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Trainers
- Advocates and Survivors
- Family and Community Leaders
The series is divided into two focus areas:
- April 1, 2025 (first 30 days): Autism Awareness and Advocacy
- May 31, 2025 (second half): Mental Health Awareness
These voices came together to raise awareness about the silent crisis affecting our communities.
