Its mission is to create compassionate, solution-driven approaches for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and those facing mental health challenges, striving to replace stigma and punitive measures with understanding, treatment, and diversion programs.
Humanity Over Handcuffs™: The Silent Crisis was founded to address the challenges faced by individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and mental health challenges within the justice system. By uniting judges, attorneys, law enforcement, mental health professionals, legislators, and families, Humanity Over Handcuffs™ strives to drive systemic improvements. Through impactful storytelling, expert-led education, and community engagement, we aim to replace stigma and misunderstanding with treatment and support, creating a justice system that reflects compassion and dignity.
